⁴ And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.

⁶弟兄們，我們奉主耶穌基督的名吩咐你們，凡有弟兄不按規矩而行，不遵守從我們所受的教訓，就當遠離他。

⁶ Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

⁶ In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you, brothers, to keep away from every brother who is idle and does not live according to the teaching you received from us.

⁷你們自己原知道應當怎樣效法我們。因為我們在你們中間，未嘗不按規矩而行，

⁷ For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;

NIV的 idle 在KJV和和合本都譯作 behaved disorderly不按規矩。

⁸也未嘗白吃人的飯，倒是辛苦勞碌，晝夜做工，免得叫你們一人受累。

⁸ Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:

⁸ nor did we eat anyone's food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you.

¹² Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.

¹² Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the bread they eat.

¹³ 弟兄們，你們行善不可喪志。

¹³ But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.

¹³ And as for you, brothers, never tire of doing what is right.

¹⁴ 若有人不聽從我們這信上的話，要記下他，不和他交往，叫他自覺羞愧。

¹⁴ And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.

¹⁴ If anyone does not obey our instruction in this letter, take special note of him. Do not associate with him, in order that he may feel ashamed.

¹⁵ 但不要以他為仇人，要勸他如弟兄。

¹⁵ Yet count [him] not as an enemy, but admonish [him] as a brother.

¹⁵ Yet do not regard him as an enemy, but warn him as a brother.

¹⁶ Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord [be] with you all.

¹⁶ Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.

¹⁷ 我保羅親筆問你們安。凡我的信都以此為記，我的筆跡就是這樣。

¹⁷ The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write.

¹⁷ I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand, which is the distinguishing mark in all my letters. This is how I write.
